Kelly passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2026, at her residence, Maison des Ainés de Coaticook. She was 63 years old.
Kelly leaves her father Lindsay, her sisters Robin and Janice (Clement Jacques), all living in Stanstead, and nieces Sarah Jacques (Hugues Lussier) and Julie Jacques, aunt and uncle, cousins and many friends who are like family, especially her dear buddy Gary Young.
Her mother Mavis Morris Smith predeceased her.
Kelly’s physical condition, Prader Willi Syndrome, created many challenges throughout her life, all of which were overcome with the care and perseverance from family, friends and later her caregivers.
She was a loyal friend and enjoyed sharing special meals, family trips and visits with friends. She loved her cats, each one special as they shared their lives with her. Especially Annabelle, who she had to leave but who was always close to her heart.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the staff at the Maison des Ainés de Coaticook – site de maisonnée Tulipe, who cared for Kelly and enriched her life while she lived there. Especially Amelie and Julie, and to Josée, who helped us make Kelly’s transition to her new home at the MDA a happy one.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
