RALPH BOOMHOWER
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Boomhower of Tomifobia, who left us August 6, 2026, at the age of 82, at the CHUS following a sudden illness, surrounded by his wife and children.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Claire Probert; his children, Scot (Tammy), Corinne, and Stacey (Keith); his eight grandchildren, Josh (Kassie), Brandon (Cassidie), Cassi (late Billy Barlow), Ariel, Dylan, Nicolas (Monike), Michael, and Matthew (Sarah-Maude); his twelve great-grandchildren, Alena, Hailey, Nathalie, Nevaeh, Callie, Noah, Kiarra, Octavia, Skylar, Liam, Arthur, and Finnlie; his two siblings, Dorothy and Marion; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George Walter Boomhower and Hilda Beane. His siblings: Violet, Frank, Roy, Harry, Terry, Doris, Alice, and James.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 29th at Cass Funeral Homes, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead.
Ralph vas a hardworking man who spent much of his life working and providing for those around him. Until the last feu years, you could always find him busy with a project or lending a hand to someone who needed it.
In his younger years, Ralph worked in the granite industry. He also served his community as a police officer for the Town of Beebe for 11 years and went on to become a landlord. No matter what work he was doing, Ralph was a man who believed in working hard, doing things right, and helping others whenever he could.
When he wasn’t working, Ralph enjoyed fishing and hunting. These were some of the simple pleasures that gave him time to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Ralph was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, share a good joke, or simply sit and listen. He had a generous heart and a quiet strength that made him someone people could count on.
To his family, Ralph was a giant of a man, not only in stature, but in the life, he lived and the example he set. He was a man to respect, admire, and be proud of. His presence brought strengh and security to those he loved, and his absence still leave a space that can never truly be filled.
He spent his life working, helping, provident, and caring for others. Now, after a lifetime of hard work, Ralph has earned his rest.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the family and friends whose lives he touched.
