Fran Williams suddenly and quietly passed away on Sept 21 just a week prior to her 93rd birthday.
Fran was the last of 3 siblings to pass ( Jeff & Russ ) Fran was a loving aunt to many in fact too many to name.
Fran was a leader in women’s sports in Montreal . She helped lead on the Condordia ( Sir George ) women’s basketball team to victory in 1955 & 1956. She was inducted in the Concordia Sports Hall of Fame for her achievements in athletics.
Fran's career as an optometrist at the Montreal Childrens Hospital spanned 4 decades and touched thousands of lives.
Fran was a woman of action! She never stopped, Whether it was skiing, tennis, golf, traveling , gardening or just wandering around the village in Georgeville, Fran was always busy doing something. Growing up around her we were all fortunate enough to benefit from her love , caring and knowledge. She was back-up mom for a whole lot of people and we are all better people as a result. She was a huge part of Georgeville. Her smile and always cheery greetings will be missed around the village. Her spirit will live on in all of us. We are all better people for having had her in our lives growing up.

A service will be held at St Georges Anglican Church in Georgeville Qc at Sat 24 Oct at 2pm.
